| Where to buy fluorescent tubes? |

Hi List, What's a good (i.e. cheap) place to buy full-spectrum fluorescent tubes and lighting fixtures in the Bay Area? I've looked online but shipping is expensive for small quantities. Oh, has anyone experienced with black light? Is it dangerous to the critters or the plants? Disaster struck while I was away for Christmas (of course). The impeller in my Fluval 304 got stuck somehow; the motor kept spinning for days and melted the impeller housing! I had to extract it with pliers. Thankfully the tank and its critters are okay, but I believe the Fluval to be dead. I opened it up and the motor/impeller housing is all one piece. I placed an order for an Eheim, it better not happen again. --Renaud |
