Mine is located in a basement room. So...yes, it is on a concrete floor.
However, my 100 gallon reef is located in my dining room. The chief factor
being that the floor joists below the floor which holds the 100 are spaced
close enough to hold the weight of this tank. I'm not sure what you are
asking concering the pergo floor (if it is pieces of floor that you have to
put together, then I can understand your concern...they could come apart or
pop up if something heavy is put on them). The real worry is will the
entire floor system hold up the tank. With all these old houses around the
bay area, it benefits us fishkeepers. Their flooring systems were way
overdesigned...which benefits us.

Troi,
I have a 180 planted tank which uses a sump. However, I also use an
ehiem
canister for extra water movement. The combination is perfect.
