It seems to be a matter of preference of appearance. Also, I don't think
too many people think about ganging up the AquaClears. Also, the shops
don't make as much profit on the AC's so many of them don't push them.

Some ppl believe the canisters are more idiot proof in that you have to
change or clean them less often. This many be true, but my fish are all so
dirty that have to tinker all the time anyway so it doean't matter.

If I ever go up to the 180 gal I want I will probably go to a sump system.

The canisters have the advantage of being nearly invisible and sometimes
quiet ;-)

Still think expensive canister should have its reason to be more
expensive than Aquaclears. I currently have a Pengium 125 for a 29 Gal
tank, it is ok.
