Not sure about the watt rating but I'll say yes. Most ballast will handle
less, but not more than their rating for bulb wattages, especially if an
electronic.
6700K and 5000K are good.

Pardon my ignorance, but can I put a 50 watt PC bulb in a 65 watt PC
fixture? And what xxK rating have people been talking about
recently? I can't remember if folks are saying they like the 6.8k
or the 7.1k..
