Thanks Dennis! And thanks too for your feedback as to what you use... I've not used carbon blocks myself but I'm very glad you're getting nice results out of it in your setups. We'll have to do a rare plants study group meeting one of these days just for you :) Erik Leung e-aquaria.com -----Original Message----- From: dilvish [mailto:dilv-@pacbell.net] Sent: Saturday, April 19, 2003 12:36 PM To: detr-@topica.com Subject: Re: [asg] Next Study Group Meet Hope you have a good trip, Erik! I don't use any plant products regularly. When I remember I add a couple of capfuls of liquid fert for the leaves, but that's pretty much it. My substrate is 40% Florabase, 40% Flourite, and 20% sand/gravel. I have a 130watt powercompact on 10 hrs per day with a Jebo carbon block CO2 system in a 50gal tank. Stem plants grow so fast I have to prune them regularly each week. I removed all the swords, wendts, etc., because they just got too big. What we're looking for now are plants that are considered difficult to grow. The "easy" plants just grow too fast!
