Sorry to hear about your loss, Dave. And all of this happened in the space of a week? Sounds very wierd from my extremely limited knowledge. I have both Nymphaea and Hygrophila and my understanding is that a sudden low pH swing won't affect them immediately, but both will exhibit the same effects over time. Same with co2. One won't grow madly while the other deforms. Also, don't rummy nose tetras favor acidic waters anyway? If I had to make a wild guess as to the cause of the problem from the description you wrote, I'd say something to do with the kh/gh. I'll be real curious to read what our experts say. Anyway, hope your tank recovers okay. |
