Yes, I got a couple of the small Golden Pigeon Bloods, and they do have some
peppering, which I expected to see anyway.

Are you saying that there will be more peppering if the water is high in

Were they Tom Richardson's Pigeon. If they were Tom's Pigeon they are
pretty clean except for some black spots on the forehead and anal fin.
