I wouldn't expect a great deal at Albany. That place is freakin' expensive! Justin, at Ocean Aquarium in SF, usually sells the Amano shrimp for either $1.50 or $2. He also has the smaller and prettier bumble bee shrimp and tiger shrimp that I believe both sell for $2.50 although if algae eating is the main intention I would stick with the Amano's. He also often has the Singapore shrimp that is cherry red (which may be what was mentioned by Michael) but this is a much bigger shrimp, about 2.5 - 3" and I don't know if it eats algae or just waits for excess fish food. ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael Laflamme To: detr-@topica.com Sent: Monday, January 27, 2003 7:53 PM Subject: Re: lots of Amano shrimp Scott, Did you try Albany? I hear that Guy also has some new type of nice little shrimp there as well. Tom knows about it, and the APD had a few posts on it. I think they are cherry in color...something like that...someone help me out here...
