Hey Cliff,

This is really not a bad idea, having a slideshow of aquarium photos from
local hobbyists. I'll mention this next time I get a chance. Without a
doubt, there's a substantial pool of NorCal talent, which likely deserves a
good chunk of attention for the mutual benefit of all involved.

On Randy's predilection for jscript, it's probably a challenging, creative
outlet for him to an extent. Plain-jane html can get boring for the author
after awhile methinks :-p

Anyhow, I humbly suggest you move up to some iteration of MSIE 5 (and/or 6),
I think you'll find it to be more stable than what you're currently using.

Take care,

Erik Leung

Here's Randy Carey's personal site: [http://www.characin.com/]. What he
accomplishes with his Nikon digicam is pretty amazing. His skillful use of
slave flash brings out some amazing color detail in the tetras he
photographs. This is hi-quality stuff! I would love to hear him speak at
sfas sometime, I'm sure his slides are tremendous.

Maybe we could have a 'lecture' consisting of a digital slide show of
pictures by people we know, narrated by someone fun to listen to,
not by us photographers muttering about camera settings. A lot of
people have never seen any SFBAAPS photos, for example. Then
there are the betta & guppy & discus people...

www.characin.com has great pictures but I had to get a new browser to
see them. My Netscape 4.08 kept crashing. Erik, why do people have to
put in all this javascript when they're just displaying text and pictures?
