Hi Martha,
Congrats on your purchase! $40 is a pretty darn good deal for
that size acrylic aquarium. It is normal to see some bulging with an
acrylic aquarium. I don't expect you will have any problems with the
tank. Just continue with the 24 hour leak test and enjoy setting it
up ! :-)

Hello all,

I thought a sixty gallon older (scratched up but looked good) acrylic
Tru-vue tank was quite a bargain with a big filter for 40$, BUT after
filling it on my garage floor to test for leaks I noticed the sides
are bulging out. It has a sealed top with openings for equipment.
There is no separation along the seams. It is on flat cement although
on a slight slant. Is this normal for an acrylic tank or should I
expect a huge flood?

Thanks!-Martha Hoffman
