Hi there, All my acrylic tanks bulge out. When I bought my 125 I opted for thicker acrlic, but I still have bulging sides. Most tank failures are seam separation. Hope this helps. carmen -----Original Message----- From: marthah-@earthlink.net [mailto:marthah-@earthlink.net] Sent: Saturday, October 13, 2001 6:49 PM To: detr-@topica.com Subject: bulging tank! Hello all, I thought a sixty gallon older (scratched up but looked good) acrylic Tru-vue tank was quite a bargain with a big filter for 40$, BUT after filling it on my garage floor to test for leaks I noticed the sides are bulging out. It has a sealed top with openings for equipment. There is no separation along the seams. It is on flat cement although on a slight slant. Is this normal for an acrylic tank or should I expect a huge flood?
