I had ditched the idea of setting up a Tropheus tank because i'd
heard all the horror stories about bloat. Plus, spending over
$100 to get a group of 6-9 juveniles didn't seem like a fun
idea to me. But at Sac, bags of three tropheus were selling
for cheap, and i came home with 9 moorii for $40. Was a
bargain i couldn't overlook :-)

Tropheus! I'd love to set up a large tank for a group of Tropheus sp.
"red", but I think I'm all out of room at the moment.

The board meetings alternate; this month it's Thursday, in September
it's on a Friday...

Jim,
If you know of a good pizza place with a party room with the ability to
show slides/video, in the Fremont area then let us know :-)

I went up to Sacramento and it was great fun. I picked Wendy Mckenna up
at the Sac airport and we went to the show. The speakers were great, i
really enjoyed listening to Ad Konings. Cichlid people are
soo darn friendly. Wendy and I were good kids and went to bed early
though :-) We visited one fish room the next day and i wish i had time
to head over to Pam Chin's fishroom but Wendy had to go back to the
airport.

The auction was HUGE. I came home with a bunch o' stuff. I got this
Tetra CO2 kit that apparently is no longer available in the U.S. It
comes with all you need including a refillable 7 oz cylinder (wonder
how long that will last?). Also brought home some shell-dwellers,
Neolamp. similis and Neolamp. brevis., a bunch of Tropheus moorii
"ikola", pair of Tel. brichardi, and i think thats it...

Anyhow, y'all missed a good time that even included a bunch of
killies in the auction ("$2 for a bag of dirt? Anyone??")
