Anyone on the list head on up to Sacramento last weekend and have something

to talk about?

As a matter of fact.... I had a real good time and even sold some Killifish
to Cichlid folks. Dr. Paul Loiselle spoke on Cichlids and of course brought
a slide show. Did you all know Red Jewel Cichlids will eat Malaysian Trumpet
Snails. According to Paul they do, anybody have Red Jewel Cichlids for sale?
I could use a couple.

I had the chance to talk with Paul for a few minutes and there are some
interesting new fish coming out of Madagascar. Naturally my first question
was "Can we get some". and his reply was that probably we can.

The folks in Sacramento made me feel right at home, the Convention ran about
an hour and a half late just like West Coast Weekend ;-) I took drum bowls
with Killies for display which, even if I do say so myself, looked great.
They had a fantastic dry goods auction in the afternoon, all brand new
donated goods. The evening Mega Auction had a huge number of fish and quite
a few plants. After each speaker they ran a few auction items which helped
break up the day and keep people interested. Jim you would have been proud
of me, I sat off to the side and behaved myself. I came home with one pair
of nice Gold Angels but that was the only livestock I bid on.

It was a long day but a good day. All of the speakers were great, how can
you go wrong with a line up like that, and I think for it being their first
time putting on a convention it went extremely well.
