It was a great talk - Dick Au is a pretty enthusiastic guy. I whispered to Cliff Young that Dick didn't even need a microphone when he was on stage :-p Was a bit stumped on the discus in the auction as well - there were a good deal of discus, but the numbers didn't approach those of a few years back. Would have been nice to re-create the livestock deluge of last month's meeting. I picked up one of your items Jim - labeled simply as 'Plant.' Looking forward to growing some of this stuff (Cardamine lyrata) out. As for the BAP program... maybe there'll be a post dot-com resurgence? Mr. Au did a great job. A year ago we say lots of discus at the auctions, now very few. The ones on Friday seemed to hold their own price wise. I was wondering why the BAP program is so inactive. Anyone have a clue? ------> |
