Andrew, Welcome. It sounds like you have a real interest in plants. I would make two suggestions. Send an e-mail to Dave Gomberg <gomb-@wcf.com> and ask him about joing our bay area plant group. Our next meeting is Friday the 24th of March. It is a great local group with some real talented people. Besides, you get to see some great planted tanks. If you are looking for some cuttings, this is the place to be! Next, subscribe to the Aquatic Plants Digest. Here is the info; To add yourself to this mailing list, you can send mail to <Major-@actwin.com> with the following command in the body of your email message: subscribe aquatic-plants dr-@itsa.ucsf.edu The APD is forum for Q&A about plants and all things related to their care. You will find it very interesting to just sit and read these posts. There is also an extensive archive for questions you may have. Off the top of my head I can't think of the exact name for Water Sprite. Mycrosorium ??? Not sure. Your lighting for your tank is just barely 2 watts per gallon. This will work great for low light plants, just be careful with the highlight ones. The DIY C02 should boost your growth and stabilize your pH. If you aren't already adding fertilizer, you will want to look into purchasing some. There is so much more I could tell you, but you may have already heard it and I don't want to overload you. Hope that info is helpful. I'm sure I won't be the only one to give you those ideas. Again, welcome.
